All Work and No Play Makes a Quiet MacBook Pro

This noise is hitting many new mac book users, I am considering taking a trip back to my apple store tomorrow with my mac book since I'm still within my 14 days. Hopefully then I might be able to swap it for a model that doesn't buzz.

- So if they claimed originally that the new mac book would get as much as the older variants then how come we're not see'ing 5 hours from the mac book.

- Apparently the 30 minute guy didn't have a root account, if he did 30 minutes is shameful. What he did have is local, ssh, account, so he had to elevate his prilvages from local to something with write access on the Web Sites directory.

- I'm running the 1.83 GigHz model, I am finding the battery life, adequate. I was always under the impression apple laptops had uber battery life. This one, seems to claim and get easily 3 hours, when I'm browsing iTunes maybe some Skype. However I don't see what's that great abot 3 hours.

- I completely agree; they rock. I have mac mini and I carry it to and from work daily, because since switching I’ve become a complete zealot and am converting my work place one computer user at a time! However despite all my promises of stability to them they are still fallible.
